esu it was a good game what is this rubbish about bully boys. You have a team full of people who put it about which is what the game is about at certain levels so lets not start talking rubbish your team was superb thats the real reasons mate

Or so it seemed on the 'side Kop for the whole game.

Yes a very well fought tussle between two very committed sides and when the opener went in I must admit I thought we were going find it hard to come back but the lads showed their mettle alright and once the first went in after Tiffs hitting the post I couldn't really see any other result.

Quality performance all round but got to give a mention for Hickers whose comeback was excellent, a real competition for places there methinks.

Also, nice to see two ex Urchins in the Bark's line up, Dave Mc and Dolf of course, I was so pleased to see Scotty Williams on the bench, having seen him terrorise defences not only for us but in Spitalfields !

If you're reading this Scott, good luck and see you at Easter sorry but didn't see you afterwards.

Nice bar there as well and it was spot the NLF celeb or were they scouting?

Good ovation at the end for both teams, fully deserved as well.

I agree with bboy; all I saw was a good game, with two fully committed sides (and reasonable match officials for once). Having managed to make a rare visit to a mid-week match I was not at all dissappointed: great entertainment (from both sides), quality banter (and yes, it was good to hear some "Riversiders" giving it large too)and a very well organised and welcoming venue.

Congrats to all: good advert for non-league football ! <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/applaus.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/applaus.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/applaus.gif" alt="" />

spot on there 'deaders'...people forget that our lads can well handle themselves and that game last night was always gonna be competitive..our performance from 20 minutes thru to 80 was wickedly superb and easily the best passing football that we have seen from the lads this term....side were trying well enough but they didn't get a look in and as the confidence in the urchins grew so did their pace increase and a few tackles were mistimed...thats all really...

an excellent show from barkingside management so thanks to john and his team for staging a very enjoyable monday nights entertainment...

quality burgers but not a lighter in sight... <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />

probably not worded correctly from me last night,i just thought that until we scored the goal barkingside looked like a good side, but the minute they went behind they started getting more physical, giving free kicks away and think it cost them,i would never say our boys are angels as i know they are not!!

You missed one Max. James Bly played for us under Dave Cox.

I think they controlled the game for the first 15 or so minutes and we were lucky not to be punished by 2 goals. Maybe it'd been a different result if they'd have capitalised on the chances very early on.

However, in saying that they seemed to change their game after going 1-0 up. They were just hoofing it down the middle and stopped passing the ball as they did at the start. They ended up being lucky to go in at half time at 1-1 after a great strike by Tiffers hit the post.

Then it was all downhill from there. 2 quick goals killed them off and a well deserved three points if I say so myself.

4 more points to go <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/cool.gif" alt="" />
