Talking MFC - Your Views Wanted

[MFC Forever]

Some of you may know that I write a column in the mfc matchday programme called 'Talking MFC', it is a round up of recent Gate news from a fan's point of view.

 

Now I want your say, if you have read the column, what you think? What do you like and what could be added? I also would like suggestions from all fans, if you have read the column or not, on topics or opinions that could be covered in the future. It can be on Gate, local side's news and progress or subjects being debated on a national scale.

 

If you do not read the column, I will consider posting one on here so you can see what it is all about, but say if you would like this to be done so I know that there is interest.

 

I want to reflect in the column not just my thoughts but the typical fan's view, so post here what you want to see. Even if you have read it once a few games ago or when it began, I want your say!

I think an article giving the experiences of Ray Baker over the last 3 years would be interesting, together with how he has managed to get such a good surface this season back at HDP

Good idea. Anybody who wants to contribute ought to have the opportunity.

I did loads of stuff a couple of seasons back. Travels to Southport..........things to do in Leigh on a freezing cold day in December, you know the sort of thing. Having a chat to Jeff Trice the other week, I suggested doing ( for anoraks like me ) some unusual stats. All-time high scores. e.g how many 6-0 nils etc. Best ground for MFC over the years. Could be Ramsgate (lol). In fact we worked out that our record at Burton is excellent. We've never won at Corby. I think you get the idea. Another possible idea could be whats the most funniest thing you've seen or heard at Hartsdown. I don't necessarily mean things like that bird getting her t**s out against Fulham.

Agree with ideas raised so far and would just add that it would be good to keep it light-hearted and just mention some of the things we talk about on the forum too as not all fans access it. For example, Cookie's target 1000 campaign. No point in talking about previous matches because most or all people read the reports in the papers or on the site anyway.

Why not make it Target 2000

Lets do things step by step eh JJ. How about YOU doing a Target 2000. Maybe you will find it as easy to do as you find it easy to say.
