What are the plans to publicise the Bank Holiday 'home' fixture with Windsor & Eton? There was a lot of talk about this some time ago, but now is the time when things need to be done.

What's the latest news from the Trust? After the success of the quiz night, when is the next planned event?

Gary's raised a good point here. Yes, both Slough and Windsor are struggling, one more than the other obviously, but it's a local derby nonetheless. In the past we've had crowds of 600 and 700 for this fixture, and I know we're still playing 'away from home' but I really don't see why it shouldn't be nudging 1,000 or beyond. Would take some work, but it can be done.

The radio stations and other press can be targeted for one thing, and would it be possible to get some posters and flyers made up? Then, groups of people can work on getting them put up and distributed in key places all around Slough (newsagents, etc)

In terms of the club, I'd like to think some kind of match sponsorship could be arranged, and that 'kids for a quid' or something similar is in operation. That way, leaflets can be distributed to schools too.

I still maintain that it should largely be down to the club to publicises matches but there you go.

I know that the Trust are currently working on a project to raise the profile of the club and our difficulties within the town and there will be a meeting held in this regard shortly.

I maintain it may help with a good supportive atmosphere for the team within the 'Meadow' but for a bumper crowd of new faces, I still maintain it would encourage the younger more impressionable kids to hang around and try a repeat visit.

You're right, but at present there is no communication between club - trust - fans so we're almost always disorganised. The school's break up around the Wednesday before Easter so we have one month to advertise the crap out of the game. Any suggestions?

Well we can always print up shed loads of posters/leaflets and hand those out. But whenever supporters are asked to turn up to hand these things out or arrange for them to be displayed somewhere it is met by apathy. A leaflet drop not so long ago was carried out by BFR and Dom with no other bugger turning up and the annual leaflet drop in the High Street sees the same old reliable faces rather than mass support.
