football.mitoo shows the attendance at today's Eton Manor v Sawbridgeworth game as 2 (two!). Could either of the spectators attending the game confirm or deny this please? Blimey, if their tandem had got a puncture the attendance would have been zero. Do any of the stattos know if the official attendance of any ESL game has ever been reported as zero (not including any matches which had to be played "behind closed doors" of course).

I could be wrong on this one but Brentwood seem to attract 40 to 60 spectators to their home games so it is unlikely they scored "nil points" against the Boro'. I suspect they didn't advise the gate to the powers that be. Declaring a "crowd" of two means someone counted them. Actually "two's company" and it takes three to make a "crowd". Hope they printed enough programmes.

brentwood v romford would of no way been 0,i know coup came down the club with us to watch arsenal v real but when i went to basildon v romford there was at least 25 romford fans there and brentwood would of had the same at home at least(unless everyone wanted to watch the gooners!!!)

Yes, it was the first time ever that the ECWC final was shown live on the TV, at the same time as the Arsenal v Leeds match. It was Arsenals lowest ever crowd, though the Div one all time low has since then been beaten by Wimbledon.

 

The place was almost deserted - more police than people.

Lowest attendances last season (from anothers site)

 

LAPSA V Sawbridgeworth..... 4

 

Eton Manor got 5 or 6 pretty regularly!!

 

 

Also attendances in the main have (not suprisingly) risen by the Urchins playing in the ESL!!! <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/applaus.gif" alt="" />

You are right Max, you are wrong - the day was a Wednesday - elections are held on Thursdays.

 

No, it was the ECWC final on TV for the first time ever - from memory, Liverpool was one of the teams.

 

Ironically, though there were thousands of programmes left over, this is one of the rarest of all Arsenal modern era programmes.

 

And re- another;s attendances, they seem to have vanished from his web site - they went about a week ago, and I am hoping they will come back soon.
