Lost 1-0 to a sloppy piece of goal keeping by charlie mitten. Very cold and poor atmosphere, stood in the home end second half cos u have to walk a mile to get to anywere in the ground. anyway we had a couple of chances, but overall disapointed with the result. bring on wimbledon!

We were poor all over the pitch today especially in midfeild. They were equally as poor i thought a draw would have been a fair result. Bertie should have scored 2 one in each half. Danny was quiet throughout the game. There was not passion today what so ever. To me it seemed as if the players did not want to play tonight as they wanted to sit in a warm pub with a kebab. Anyway with the negatives out the way i am going to move onto the positives. We only conceded one goal, the supporters that sang throughout the game were great and we got some chavs kicked out. Up the gate. Bring on the dons

It was a pretty scrappy game, and so cold that you had to wonder why we were all there anyway.

The pitch surface was very strange, so green yet so much sand, and the ball bobbled around a lot, with a very peculiar bounce.

The stadium was new, but a very souless place with absolutely no atmosphere, and a lot of petty rules and regulations, being council-run I suppose, which made it feel to me quite uncomfortable.

Maybe some of the above ran off on to the players, but I would not blame anyone for making errors in that place, at that temperature, and at that time of the week and night. I saw a lot of effert and passion on that field, despite the result.

Still, we cannot win them all, and probably especially not away on a night like that.

Onwards and upwards, Tuesday looms!

It may have been the fact that at Wealdstone they did not sing and there was only 4 people from the margate choir there and last night we started of well but as the game went on we pietered out a bit, we tried to get it back up but it was failing. Also they did not give us many songs and the stands we were in did not feel part of the stadium and therefore we lost any kind of atmosphere. It is not a good idea for any football team to be playing at an athletics stadium.

Certainly not a GOOD idea, but I would have thought you 'Gate supporters would have appreciated the importance of getting a permanent home of your own. After 8 years of exile, and trying to lure 300 or 400 supporters over to Billericay every fortnight to support the lads, anything in your own back yard is welcomed with open arms. We appreciate that the stadium lacks a bit of atmosphere (even more so without your drum)

due to it's expanse, but the facilities are excellent and we have been talking about eventually getting cover for the temporary terracing behind the goals which would increase the noise factor.

I agree with you claret and i did not mean to be nasty to your club or anything like that. The facilities are good one of the best i have seen in the league. I just dont like the idea of football clubs playing at Athletics stadiums that is my personal opinion thats all. Good luck for the rest of the season and looking forward to playing you next season. Where we will do the double over you
