he'd had his tongue removed and his wife was translating what he was "saying".

 

even looking like that, he was still puffing away and knocking back the ales.

 

i'm not sure if he ever played for an ESSEX SENIOR LEAGUE side.

Another sad loss. OK - Jack had a problem in his younger days, but he was brave to the end.

 

Ron Moody's, (Fagin in the film 'Oliver'), obituary for Jack was wonderful.
