How not to get to Halifax

From the " Away Travel Details " in Tuesday's programme:-

 

" Directions to Halifax Town "

 

" From the M25 go anti clockwise going over the Dartford Bridge....."

 

What it didn't add was that if you tried that you would cause a huge traffic pile up and would probably never be able to watch another football match again, let alone the Fleet at Halifax! I suggest that you try the Tunnel instead.

 

This apart the road directions are fine. Shame nothing was mentioned about return travel by rail though.

Return travel by train :

To Leeds and then leeds to Kings Cross .

Not the best of journeys but Ok.

 

Worth the journey as the 3 pigeons at Halifax is a decent boozer to while away a few hours before KO.

 

Giving it a miss this year , as choice was either Halifax or York and as done the Shay a few times and not the Kit Kat ( can't remember why the no show last year ), it could only be York.

 

PS tip to the Shay catering staff no need to stock the candy floss this season
