Council leader makes cookie chuckle

Just to make you laugh a bit. It certainly did me.

Went to work yesterday.Guess who was on my train. No other than the council leader himself. He was travelling to York for a meeting with his P.A.

On arrival in Victoria, the train I was on,he was on,was due to join up to another set of carriages. Once all passengers are off, the doors close ready for coupling. Unfortunately the asaid person and his p.a were taking too long to get of so the doors closed firmly for coupling.(no fears, they open again within a few minutes, after coupling up).Anyway, like a gent I waited till they were safely off the train. As we were walking up the platform I mentioned, jokingly, that he should be quicker getting of the train or we would keep him on there and take him back whence he came.To this his reply was "no,no,you can have your ground". (Absolutely true story)!

I thought it was quite amusing at the time & I hope it was for you though not being there to actually hear and see him say it dose somewhat take the shine off it a little.

Partly true, he was on his way to York and then going on to Newcastle to speek to none other than Lord Pendry.

He had a meeting to discuss the new ground of Ramsgate FC. He knew how furious you lot would get if you new. Therefore he has said you can have a ground too.

Thanet Football on the up!
