...who is going up, or not, following ground-grading inspections?

olaf. restructuring of step 4 could be put back a year because the unibond league are demanding that their case be taking to arbitration which could drag on for fckn ages.

the champions should go up, but 2nd and 3rd could be screwed until next season.

the current stalemate will not effect the champions of the respective divisions but would of course mean that were the urchins to win the ESL championship then at present they would go into southern league div one east...(as it is today)...

as far as ground gradings go we were given three minor things to sort out which have been satisfied...

fire certificate for the riverside stand

security of tenure confirmation from the council

widen the pitch by 100mm...

all a bit strange really as the last grading we had was for conference south... .... and that in itself raises another question because if the restructuring does not go ahead does it not follow that the new FA ground requirements will not go ahead either and will revert to the current requirments of the SL....??

all very confusing....tell 'em to poke the promotion and we'll stay here with all our new mates and drive zody mad for another year...

TGIF and I can go on the pi55....

I think I got all that! Only bit I don't understand is "were to win the esl" !!!

I fully understood the last bit rest assured!

I wonder with all this going on and some clubs not making the grade and others having it but not high enough, and the added equation of clubs already in step 4 that quite clearly would not get the grading now if they were re-inspected, would it not have been better to re-grade all the clubs at level 4 and 5 over the last two years say and then relocate the lot geographically? I'm presuming that the restructure is all about this?

Any thoughts?

'were the urchins to win the ESL'

shape up AN..we aint won it yet and the grammer is eloquent and precise (as usual)..

its a all a bit of a mish mash if you ask me and relates in many ways to who the 'powers that be' want to go up/down or sideways...for example john moules gave us a conference grading and we haven't changed the pitch layout since then and then along come the FA and say its 100mm to narrow at one end...

we give the fire certificates to the conference and now the FA want them..surely there must be some sort of unified data base where all this is stored...

anyway....rollox to the lot of em'...for me I am happy to stay here...go over there or up there or down there...don't care so long as we stay happy and compete on the pitch...the ESL could teach a few about running football clubs and its been a good experience for us...whatever happens next we'll just take in our stride as we always do....

if you're an urchin there's always another adventure around the corner....

in the meantime there is the little matter of 4 points which is all we are worried about..
