Crawley players up for sale

They might be 'up for sale' but nobody can sign them to play.

It's called a transfer window.

Err yes they can, they just can't give them a contract.

Alternatively they can take them on a season long loan and buy them at the end of the season. (I think it would depend on whether Crawley want a fee)

I forgot about Conference South where the window doesn't apply. (Daryl Clare to Weymuff?)

So it's a case of when is a transfer window not a transfer window.....

Hang on, Crawley played better football than us Tuesday night in my opinion. I thought their team was good to watch. Maybe this is why their average gate is 400 more than us? (According to confguide).

They lost their way when we scored and didn't play as well after, but they didn't look crap (Jeff). Some of their players could well be handy for us and Daish should take a closer look seeing as Crawley aren't too far away.

I thought the goalkeeper was quite good (Phil Smith). Good kicking and made one or two good saves.

Their centre mids didn't look too bad either.

Those are the positions where we are strong as well though. Next season I suspect our biggest need will be to find a left back, and a striker. The other requirements will depend on who stays and who goes.

Goalkeeper and Centre backs will be understudies to the current players.

While I wouldn't reject all their players out of hand, I for one didn't think them good to watch. They were as bad as Scarborough and it's easy to see why they are where they are on the evidence of Tuesday night.

I hope that means that Craig is going to sign for next season sooner rather than later.

I would have thought we could find a place for Scully and/or Clare in the squad although we probably couldn't find the money for either.
