Wanted - Volunteers !!

In conjunction with "Target 1000" I am going onto the streets next Tuesday to inform the public of the nights game v AFC Wimbledon. Whilst this game isnt the best to advertise (though ALL are equally important),as the crowd SHOULD reach the 1000 mark anyway,despite other inconveniences to the evening,TV Footy,Rams at Home,being a Tuesday night etc etc.It will be a start. This is just the start of things to come as other ideas are being mulled over & looked into.

I would be grateful if about 2 or 3 could join me in handing out leaflets.Posters in actual fact,to the public.There will be around 200 posters available(already done) to give out. Just 1 hour of your time on Tuesday AFTERNOON from 3pm till 4pm would suffice I think. Bring your club scarfs and colours too.If anyone out there has a banner or something to that nature it would also help to display & promote our club & the game. If things go o.k. this might be a regular thing,who knows. Just 4 hours before kick-off,for ONE hour is all that is being asked of you.The more the merrier in actual fact. It dosent really need just two or three as the others can hang around displaying the colours.

We dont want a lot of noise,well none in fact as we dont want to upset anyone. Just a good advert for the club and its impending game/s.It will be at 3pm outside the Nationwide Building Society in the top half of the high street if you are keen.

Just turn up if you can. I will be there anyway.

I would just like to finish off by thanking both PETER W & ALAN(taffy) who have put this poster together ESPECIALLY for this game.It is a "special" one off poster(for the time being).It looks good.

Please help if its possible.

Won't Tuesday afternoon be too late? People will have already made their plans for the evening. This weekend might be better IMO.

Then they may well have forgotten about it by Tuesday.Its possible.Thats a chance we will have to take.Matchday is the aim at first.IF it dosent go down well this time round I am sure something else can be arranged (another time/day etc).It may well work better your way but as it is for next week it is on the Tuesday afternoon.I understand where you are coming from on this but the aim to begin with is to keep it FRESH in their minds. Sandwich board. Yes, Stokesie, I would if I could get one. Does anyone know of where I can get one. Thats a serious question. I dont mind looking a fool on the day. I have looked a fool all my life so why should Tuesday be any different.l.o.l. Again, in seriousness does anyone know of where one can be obtained.I'll gladly wear it for that one hour. May even go round the ground advertising different items too.A sandwich board isnt such a bad idea in truth.Thank you Leah for the idea.How about also those trays the usherettes in cinemas have.We could go round the ground selling items.They would be bought from there as some people are lazy & wont go to the clubshop or tea bar.Going to them with our wares could help with sales.Go on all have a laugh.
