About our singing on Saturday.

 

In no way was it meant in a derogatory way. We sing it to celebrate not to gloat. I can't see how singing "Ol East London" is offensive in anyway. I've been in non league footall for years and when team have beaten mine they scream, shout, sing etc but I am always gutted we lost not offended by their celebrations. However Barkingside singing "easy, easy, easy" and "we unbeatable" was offensive and unsporting. What we sang was celebrating victory, what they sang was to gloat and belittle us.

 

If we offended anyone at Burnham I apologise but its the only time we have sang that song and anyone has got offended. We have been singing it at the Manor for the last 3 years and no oppenents have ever said they thought it was out of order. How can singing a song about where we come from be offensive? We had a drink and some food after and everyone was talking and getting on so if there was a problem someone should have said something and I'm sure myself, Larry or Kirk would have explained things and that its just out way of celebrating victory, especially after beating the team in 2nd.

 

Kaiser we had a chat after and if you had a problem mate you should have said but you seemed alright. Anyway nothing bad was meant and it was good to BEAT and then meet some of the forum legends!

how disappointing.

 

singing is excellent, only thing about it is it's tendency to bite you on the @rse. loads of examples such as shouting "who?" at a sub who scores and points to his number, barkingside's 'unbeatable' chants etc.

 

all good fun, just be careful with it is all.

We've had worse this year mate , and weve given out some this year aswell . Its part & parcel of the game fella . Stop fretting about it , no apologies required . We shouldnt have given you the chance to sing it in the first place but we were [****!!****] toilet on the day !

myself personally was far too dissappointed to care what you lot were singing son. no offence but we have bigger fish to fry then worrying about you boys enjoying yourself.
