Burbs has doen well, but I bet the two of them are itching to get back in the thick of it. I wonder if Burbs fancies a back four role for a while, big lad, can tackle and heads it well.....

burbs can actually play anywhere down the spine MU so he wouldn't let anyone down in that role....think he may be hard to shift at the moment tho'

Very true, he's doing really well at the mo, causes a big threat with his height and can score some blinders. I suspect our two returnees will have to train very hard, keep off the kebabs and booze and pray hard to get back in the frame.

 

Jlo's job is a tough one, but I suspect most clubs would envy his selection problems.

 

I trust he'll be keeping the teams eye firmly on saturday and the mission to avenge that defeat at the Bridge.

I think we can safely say that the defeat by bedsteds still rankles with the boys MU but we mustn't underestimate saturdays oppo....

The first encounter was one of those matches, we had possession for most of the match, numerious chances but we could not hit a barn door on that night. All credit to Stanstead who had two chances and scored both.

Since then we have not conceeded for weeks and we are scoring from most positions, with Danny and Billy in the frame for a return, it should make it interesting.

A good side for sure, but i still think the defeat did us good and should at least make the chaps give the stansted team the respect they deserve.

They, like Romford, haven't won in their last nine and haven't won at home in their last 7. They have only won at home once all season.

That maybe so, but both times we've played them they've more than done themselves justice. Remember, they play football, they're not kickers and we play football and are not kickers, so our style probably suits theirs. All adds up to an interesting game and one that cannot be taken lightly.

Very much agree there but their home record is TERRIBLE which very much so goes to our advantage.

.........and ours was great before they came along. I'm only saying that previous form means little when it comes to any team playing us. They raise their game as it becomes their cup final and they are not a bad side. In fact....I'd say they're a proper football team, like Hullbridge, who play the game as it should be, not kicking lumps out of us. but knocking the ball about.

 

Either way, I'm looking forward to it.

Coup, I've missed the last two games, unless you are going to tell me that a monsoon is about to hit Stansted, or a Siberian winter is about to strike then indoors is not an option. We've survived two chillers at Romford and Brentwood, so come on mother nature, so your worst. I'll bring a coat.
