Worst stadium ever

I think it is safe to say that Northwoods ground is the worst ground i have ever been to and is probably the worst ground at this level of football.

If you went to East Thurrock on 03/12/05 you would probably rate the facilities (??!!)and

playing surface (??!!) as being even worse.Their home game today was postponed,after pitch inspection.

[color:"blue"]Worst stadium ever? A bit harsh - the pitch was bad, but with two teams sharing it, then without a full-time groundsman you'll always struggle.

The perimeter fences around three sides of the ground were small so access for vandals is so easy as was quite evident.

The pitch perimeter fences were amongst the best I've seen anywhere at any level.

What you have to understand is these are the standards associated with teams at our current level.

I think you are absolutely right, Peter, and in fact is Northwood, whose ground it is, at a level below ours?

 

My thoughts on when we go away to these places is (1) how sad it is that some clubs are obviously struggling to maintain any kind of accommodation, when you consider the amounts of dosh that slosh around football at higher levels, and (2) how very very lucky we are with what is at present a temporary facility that is considerably better than the majority of the places we have been to this year, and (3) considering our wonderful result yesterday, I think I can bear the privations of poor away grounds under those circumstances.

Well thank you FF for clearing that one up. Then I have sympathy with them as well for their poor accommodation.

The points I was making, however, would not be affected by that fact.

I know it is not the clubs fault for why the stadium is like what it is, but there was nothing nice about the ground.

Trust me it is. Smashed up seats, graffeti everywhere, goals tied back with a bit of string to the stands, corigated fencing, cemetry end is just a grass patch with a wooden fence behind falling apart.
