Chelmsford City v Slough Town: MATCH THREAD

yeah but thats football, in fact thats anything, if you dont do it you lose your sharpness, problem is, you cant really rotate keepers so if they dont play they cant just come in & do themselves justice.

Parky is a very good keeper, christ, he was brilliant first half in the cup final at Staines last season.

I thought the ground was nearly as bad as the Slough performance.

They certainly overdid the security there. Searched on the way in, refused entry with a can of lilt, stewards everywhere counting something, a fire engine and ambulance present. Madness. The locals seem happy enough with it, but it would put me off going.

Give Parky a couple more games and he will no doubt play a lot better. Despite the fact he had bad game today he did pull of a great 1-handed save in the first half after their first goal.

Even when he is on form I would like to see him come claim the ball more often from crosses and corners (something which Masters is very good at).

have to say poor parkie ! out for weeks and very rusty , but thats because he was trying to hard today to prove himself.. made some very un parkie mistakes..give the boy his dues , he has stayed around while clarke became slough's number one, thank goodness he has stayed around...

give him the support and the lad will come good again after a few matches...

First of all well done to Chelmsford for getting a ground back in Chlemsford but 1) it is a crap place to watch football regardless of your view from the "grandstand" and 2) it's not yours - you don't even get priority on a Saturday.

We would still have disliked the ground if we had won six nil but at least the journey home would have been more bearable.

Awful awful performance a shadow of the side that had been performing so well in recent weeks. Christ knows why it went so badly wrong today. Injuries catching up with us?

at the end of the day we played ok today (city) think your keeper didnt have the best of days but that happens the ground may not be every ones cup of tea but to us it home its a lot better than ground shareing least now we can make some money hopefully get better players and move forward and who knows maybe in a few years get a better ground without a runing track round it lol i wish slough all the best for the future

Worst performance of the season, terrible and stupid rules regarding drink and food by the council.

The council even banned the directors from standing on their balcony to watch the game. Apparently the council rep saw them out there and stormed over to tell them to get inside !!!!

Was looking forward to the game, but what a disapointment. Terrible performance, freezing cold and the most officious stewards i've come across.

I know the council are breathing down their necks but they need to sort out their attitude - why the f*** couldn't i eat my chips in the bar with my beer, it was freezing outside. Why did they have to search my bag on the way in? They said they were looking for plastic bottles with lids because the FA say they are illegal - get a f****** life - why not take my shoes, i might lob them at a player, or whack a steward over the head.

I feel sorry for Chelmsford, met a few decent fans, and well done on getting back to your home town, but PLEASE let's not groundshare with athletics or let the council have a stake in our ground.

I go to non league football to enjoy myself, not be bossed around with ridiculous rules.
