Poor performance all round.

Hodgey needlessly sent off for a second yellow card. First one for dissent. Second for a foul on their number 3 who over reacted. Very theatrical. Daly also booked for dissent. Mistake by Parky for the first goal, just dived over it. The same for their second but he may have seen it late.

Why for the whole match did we just decide to lob the ball up field and miss the midfield? We didnt have one shot on goal the whole match and got punished from 2 awful goals.

 

None of the team looked like they wanted to be there today and its understanding why Hodges got frustrated up front.

Got what we deserved from the match - naff all. They bossed the game without having to really get out of first gear from the first minute to the last. Really disappointing performance after recent form, where nobody had a decent match in a Rebels shirt.

 

First-half we had a really strong wind in our favour but NO SHOTS (Not even off target). They strolled through the half and scored despite the wind factor.

 

Second-half 2-0 down from a free-kick early on. With about 10 minutes left we have our FIRST shot of the match from Josias that turns into a pass which Hodgey scores from - but it was given (rightly) as offside.

 

Late on more in frustration of his lack of service Hodgey puts in a late tackle (and in my opinion) is rightly sent-off.

 

A match to forget on a very cold day.

Truly awful performance from out lot today, easily our worst of the season, not helped by the fact we wanted to play long ball in a swirling wind.

 

Hodges (first) and Daly both picked up needless bookings by backchatting the referee, and how much will we miss Hodgey when he is suspended.

 

Parky looks a shadow of the player which won the number one shirt from Allaway last season sadly. Hope he can turn his form around, but if he's not getting the chance to play on a regular basis, how is he going to get better? Certainly not up to the standard today, along with many others.

Oh, and interesting first visit to MP. Wasn't quite my cup of tea, but perhaps something we'll have to look at if we want to return to Slough in the future?

Agree - not ideal as a football ground, but a great view from the grandstand despite the distance from the pitch.
Main thing though - it's HOME after 8 years of exile, so is OK by us!

Balmoral, would have said the same thing even if we had one. It was a poor game, it is a dump of a ground - very shiny, but with all the soul of a morgue - and judging by the fact it is Essex, yes it is full of pikeys. I mean, did you see the tarmac job around the pitch?

While Slough is such a fine place, that loads of Police Camera Action type programmes are made there, the Petrol Stations had run out of fuel at Christmas and most trains bus through at 125mph as no one wants to stop there.

what you don't want to play us again ? you have 6 points from us every season..so far...well if thats what you (don't want) fine...

 

we understand that that may have been your last chance to come home, and for all the reasons shown to us today..we will campaign until we get a proper ground..I did think at one stage we could have moved into our local athletics ground, but today has only made me more determined not to fall into that one...I would rather play at Windsor anyday even if it is not our ground.

 

Athletic grounds are not good for the game...

 

sour grapes you may think but it was essex and we don't have a good record agaisnt any essex teams...thats a fact...
