Again we read about it somewhere other than our website!

Playing or there as back up?

If playing, Why?

If back up, where's Ken?

If you're not happy with our website, do you feel like doing it? As it happens I was at work and not able to update the site until after somebody else was able to post here. So, do YOU personally want to pay me £35K per year to run the site full time? I don't see any point in asking the club for the money as they get my services for nothing right now (and, yes, I do an awful lot of work to keep the club web site up and running). If not, please just [****!!****] off. I don't need to have loads of [****!!****] chucked at me by someone who knows [****!!****] all about what I do for the club. If you are expecting an apology for the expletives deleted you can whistle. I won't apologise because I meant every one of them. If you're not happy, just imagine how difficult it would be to get information without a website, the Newsline and all the other things some of do voluntarily out of the goodness of our hearts.

I wouldn't even have bothered looking at the forum except another fan told me it appears to be open season on Bryan Hammatt again (no, not from you Gazza). Ever wondered why fans of some clubs think ETFC fans are arrogant? They probably read this forum. I can't help thinking there are people here who, were they Chelsea fans, would be calling for Mourinho's head because they lost to Middlesbrough the other week.

Anyway, I will go back to ignoring this forum again because too many people spout too much crap on it.

BLIMEY!

Cyclops.Have you thought of the posibility that that Gazza was questioning the speed and the reliablity of 'club information' given to YOU,rather than criticizing you personally.

Really,i don't feel Gazza comments deserved such an aggressive rant.

We are all grateful for those that put time and effort into the club. The website in particular is excellent BUT (and i'm talking generally here) a lot of those doing things for the club do seem to begrudge doing so,or are either very touchy or keep asking others 'to contribute as much as them'...etc.Those that do contribute time and effort into the running of the club are VITAL for its smooth running and progress, but that doesn't mean those officials and committee members should be beyond reproach or beyond genuine questioning.

PS..Cyclops..You were moaning about Hammett just as much (if not more) than the rest of us,at matches earlier in the season.

I have to say I agree with Cyclops on this one.

The way it read - it did not appear to question the info given to the web site but the web site itself. Right or wrong that was my original response.

Like it or not I think he has a point.

As for doing things begrudgingly I think that is really harsh. Cyclops is like me he actualy thoroughly enjoys doing what he does. He does not expect thanks - that is not what it is about - but he does not expect critism either.

As for the arrogance bit - again he has a point. When we were in the ESL we were generally disliked on the forum because of the constant whinging.

As for ignoring the forum - another good point. Serious requests for stats through PMs please. I think I will join the majority. Any serious request will be dealt with my usual speed.

As long as you don't give out the stats begrudgingly.

Jim.If you stop reading this forum, you will be cutting off another lifeline to the club, for yourself.

Football is nothing without passion and opinion.A football forum especially so.

It seems that the longer the 'moaners' on this forum are being proved right every week, the more agitated and defeatist those on the otherside of the arguement are becoming.

PS..have any of you ever though that the management and players may actually benifit for being given advice on how things can be improved in certain areas. Is it a coincidence that Jim brings in a new forward just at the same time as the fans have been crying out for one on this forum??? Who knows?

I believe the management and players have been kept on their toes,by the high standards the fans demand week in week out.I believe it sharpens their perfomances and keeps them focused on producing the best results for the club.Us fans try to make sure the fire stays in the bellies of the management and players (along with most of the fans).

Cyclops if you think for one moment I was having a dig at you, you couldnt be more wrong, now weather you believe that or not is up to you.

The point I was making was if I want to see what "MY/OUR" clubs latest info is id look on the ETFC website, which FYI I think is excellently presented.

All you needed to say in your post was that due to whatever other commitments you may of had & due to the lateness of the info reaching yourself you was unable to update the site before other sources of info revealed it.

As lovley stuff posted a wide range of people do a fantastic amount for ETFC, just paying to get in is contributing, have you ever heard anyone moan about that? I dont think so, those who do more than others recieve nothing but thanks from all other Towners, maybe we should have a thankyou column somewhere to pacify & stroke the ego's that need it.

As for moaning is that not what you have just done?

I dont apologise for my post either, but at least I dont need to use expletives to express my thoughts on here as that would be just be embarrasing!

PS Cyclops, your post is way over the top. No one aimed any criticism at you. Throughout the season the official website has been the last place that player info appears but no one ha blamed you. I'm with Gazza on this one. At least he hasn't thrown a load of expletives. I notice that you do on a regular basis at opposition players and officials. Not really the best example an adult could set for the many kids that attend our games is it.

I think its time to knock this one on the head.

The main complaint by those on one side, is that criticising players or tactics HARMS the atmosphere at the club.I say that fans who constantly criticise their fellow fans on here, also HARMS the atmophere at the club.

Those that don't like fellow fans to be nagaitve about the team performance (or individual performances),are the very fans who have harmed the atmosphere by constantly whinging about the 'whingers'.

Lets not forget that we share much more than we are devided on.We all support Enfiled Town and we all want success for the club. That shouldn't be forgotten.

Can I whinge about people whinging about other people whinging about whingers?

Or would someone whinge about that?

Maybe we should ask Jim to play with two whingers............... provided they can CROSS...

More seriously I suspect that Cyclops is to some extent a victim of his own expertise. The website is so good and so professional it is perhaps easy to forget that it is maintained voluntarily by one person in his spare time. This also rather applies to much at our club, I feel.

We could always sign Steph up as our left whinger!

Although much like other left whingers I dont think he could supply the services we require!

My thoughts on the web site and this forum are that they are great to exchange views, thoughts, opinions and news. To be perfectly honest, there are only a select few who regularly contribute to the forum with more, no doubt, reading news from the ETFC homepage.

Therefore, those who have access to a pc have a clear advantage over others when it comes to finding out what's going on at the club. If we took the WWW away, then we would all have to wait until matchday programmes were on sale at the games to find out what's going on.

Don't really think there is a need for instant information, just information when it can be collated and shared.

I remember in 1968........
