Why don't the club do what Brentford did and have a person enter a cometition to become a coach for the match?

Brentford have had a couple of ideas like this lately and raised quite a few quid and pleased a few supporters in the process.

 

3 weeks ago the first team played a midweek game under floodlights against supporters. 22 supporters paid 150 quid for the chance to play 45 minutes at Griffin Park against their heroes.

 

they also raffled a place on the bench for the FA cup game against Charlton at the Valley. Not as a substitute ( so no need for registering) but as part of the coaching staff. Again this got plenty of interest and the money rolled in. The lucky person also got a chance to prowl the technical area whilst game in progress and wave arms about.

 

everyones a winner, fans get value for money opportunities (not just the richest fans or directors sons get the opportuntity)and the club get a decent influx of cash for very little outlay.

 

I'll eat the pizza you can do the maths.
