Tonight's match at Eastbourne against Sutton has been called off as the pitch is waterlogged - a couple of very high tides, perhaps.

 

One of their Supporters Club chaps has posted elsewhere that it is very wet indeed and there might be some doubt about Saturday's fixture against The Mighty Saints.

 

Webbo will, no doubt, put something on his Official web-site next Monday or Tuesday if the game is off.

Perhaps they were preparing their pitch to negate the Saints super-slick passing game and overdid it a tad?

 

Plan B (for 'bog') will no doubt be called into action.

A brief extract from this weeks match report in the Herts Advertiser has come my way:

 

"It was evident upon their arrival in Wales that a very poor playing surface at the Newport Stadium would not suit City's passing game, and they were forced to adopt a long-ball strategy that does not sit comfortably in Lippiatt's, or his team's armoury."

 

Call 'em in on Wednesday for extra training on either side of the M1 at Bricket Wood. That should help with the 'long-ball' game.
