An excellent piece of software - google earth comes highly recommended.

 

If you pan out a little bit, you can actually see how the river Ingrebourne used to flow through the ground itself.

 

When the ground was developed for football, the Ingrebourne was diverted westwards about 40 yards onto its present course, in a man made meander.

 

As the river formed the boundary betweeen Hornchurch and Upminster, when originally acquired, the ground was half in Honrchurch and half in Upminster.
