Stevenage tomorrow

Staying-up

Recommended Posts

Good line-up tonight, the only change from Saturday is Bimson replaces Duffy. Hopefully JK is playing on the right and Noto in the centre tonight. If he keeps having a pop at goal through the centre law of averages says one will go in.

Line-up in full:

McKinney

Chenery

Ward

McGhee

Bimson

Kennedy

Sedgemore

Noto

Keeling

Ibe

Gregory

SUBS:

Potter, Dolan, Minton, Clarke & Tait

Just got back from Stevenage. Played well first half and even in second half we had a few chances but over the whole game we were outplayed. There seemed to be no idea going forward we just seem to hoof the ball up field and hope for the best.

Can't see why inton isn't playing he is the most creative midfielder we have.

Its a huge game on Saturday. If we lose that one we are in very serious relegation trouble.

Anyway its a very pleasant town Stevenage I spent a nice afternoon in the twon centre, just a shame the Football was a letdown.

Stevenage dserved to win over the 90 and George Boyd for them is a class act. Great third goal for them.

We showed alot of spirit but defence is appalling and no real ideas in attack. We seem to lack any real width and apart from Keeling and maybe Ibe nobody looked a threat.

JK was excellent in midfield, worked so hard and the people who call Ibe lazy are being really harsh. He ran back to his own penalty area to try and win a ball back which to be quite honest his not really his job!!!

Tamworth and Crawley both lost tonight so at least there is a shining light somewhere.

Thought Chenery had a pig of a game - few errors there but on the whole team played well.

They have a great stadium there and well situated - no problems parking.

Wouldnt it be nice if we could have a set up like that!

Believe the same company that built this stadium are the one featured in our programme.
Perhaps when all weighed up and plans are sorted out, we too could have something like this.
What a decision to make though!

I thought offensively we were very good against Stevenage last night. The trouble is we cannot defend to save our lives at the moment! If we had a decent defence and a goal scorer last night we would have pinched something.

Players that stood out for me were Kennedy, Noto, Keeling, Ibe and Greggors. Ibe's work rate was again superb, I still can't understand these lazy comments about him. After the last two performances I would keep Greggors involved as he is looking quite good.

It's not all doom and gloom, if we attack like we did last night with Boylan or Hallett on the pitch I reckon we can turn teams over.

Photos from last night - http://matt2995.fotopic.net/c868638.html

There are some photos in there where you can just tell we don't quite cut it at the moment.

I`ve read some silly comments but that`s a good one, how can you tell that from a picture? The scoreline fair enough but pictures <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/confused.gif" alt="" />

You're right they're just pictures. But looking at them there's the one with Wardy going for the ball against their Striker, how many times would we see Wardy NOT get that ball? Hardly ever, and in the next picture, it's rolling past McKinney into the net.

I'm not in anyway saying that it's Wardy's fault, just that against most teams you would've expected him to get them, but now it shows we just aren't getting to them balls.

Who's closing Ollie down in this one? - http://matt2995.fotopic.net/p26191001.html

There are others in there that could attempt to validate my point, but I won't keep bleating on about it. Time to get back on track with three points from Crawley!
