Jim Bradshaw RIP

A sad day for Hornchurch Football Club and Non League Football throughout Essex as our club President Jim Bradshaw passed away earlier this morning after a long illness. Details of the funeral and other arrangements shall be posted in due course and our thoughts go out to his family on this very sad day.

Gentleman Jim, and he was the complete, as I found, was a lovely man and used to spend a long time telling me about all the games of seasons' past.

After his family his love was for Hornchurch Football Club.

Jim had a great sense of humour and I know that when he presented the Jim Bradshaw trophy to 'Arry as a reward for the fans' support last May, it was a moment of great pride for him.

Cheers Jim, you were a pleasure to know and work with.

Jim was a fine gentlemen - I will never forget the warm welcome he gave me on my first visit to the club, a warmness that continued throughout the relativly short period that I knew him.

Jim worked tirelessly as Chairman and it would be difficult to over-estimate his vast contribution to the club during that time.

I remember Jim when I wandered over Hornchurch quite a bit during our 14 years in the wilderness. Nice bloke who always had the club at heart. Therefore ditto all the above comments..
