As for Chopper, I have only seen supportive comments ( 100% ) from Town fans and no negative ones.
He knows how the fans feel about him.

....and what about the others? Personally I feel that if I was a player I wouldn't bother to come on here. It is not that often that the positive is accented but the negatives are stamped into the ground. Confidence is a fragile thing. Frankly I have become a bit fed up with it.

before anyone starts I do appreciate that people have a right to have their own opinions and yes this is a forum but I don't think it is just me that is getting more than a tad waspy about the constant carping that goes on here.

I have said before that if people want to know what is going on with Jim and his selections they can always have a quiet word with him. He is incredibly approachable.

I know someone is going to come on here and say "it is only because we know the club can do so much better" or "I dont believe in massaging fragile egos" but constantly telling people they are not good enough isn't going to get the job done either. Encourage! If you are not happy then try talking to people -

Yes, I have had a crap day and I am tired but this needed to be said.

I appreciate all your points Jim, I think any negative comments on here, which I think are minimal, bore from frustration, I think if it was seen that we were not picking up points but had been seen to be positive on the field of play via the players or the management team weather in commitment, formation or team selection it would be noticed & understood, however our strikers have not & are not scoreing & nothing is changing.

Had a crap day too so I hope Boreham Wood are going to make my day brighter tonight!

Sorry Jim, but unless you've seen the matches we are talking about on this forum, you've got no right to criticise the honest opinions of those that were there.

IF Matty Negus,Kevin Stevens,Rudi Hall,Nial Ritchie,Andy Hall,or Dave Allen had been on this forum in the previous two weeks, they would have been very happy with my posts, because i have praised every one of them recently for their performances.

You say some fans concentrate too much on the negatives.Well, some people on this forum seem to concentrate too much on the negative comments, and forget the positive ones.

PS..If i was a player and someone commented on this forum, that i go up for the ball half-hearted and without any real intention of winning it, AND I SAW THAT COMMENT,i certainly wouldn't do that the next game.

Maybe you right, maybe most of the players don't log-on.It might just improve some of their games,if they did.

LS, WE must be at the same game as all of those you mention have been outstanding, praise too to Al James Hannigan, solid in the two games he has started both of which we have won!

Hey Jim the day just got a whole lot better thanks to Mr Henry huh?

Have to agree Jim.

You need to see it to believe it !

Someone mentioned frustration...that is just about right.

Sorry disagree totally.

I have seen enough footy to have every right to say what I think. Watched enough EFC games over 40 odd years. I also speak to enough ETFC people to know what is going on as well and I listen to their opinions. Do you not appreciate the frustration i feel about any poor result as well. I dont enjoy the hours of bloody work I put in if we lose!

I think the stick dished out to our forwards cannot do them any good at all and various people have made the point about the service to them.

Again I reiterate, I can appreciate the frustration element but again I think you ought to be having a quiet word with the management team. It does not matter what people are like - if people keep telling them they are not up to it they will believe it!

And yes my day did get a whole lot better thanks not just to Mr Henry but the whole Arsenal team. It is a team game I believe.

So you listen to three or four people (The old TOTE boys) about how games are going, but ignore 20+ people on this forum telling you how games are going.Maybe by taking a larger overview of fans opinions, you might get a more accurate account of how things are going. The TOTE boys are a lot more serine and mellow that the majority.Maybe they are playing down the form of some players and making excuses for them.Maybe us lot as over exagerating, and being over critical and not taking into account the service given to them. Its probably somehwere in between.

Reagrding having a quite word with Jim.He reads this forum believe me, or at least he has a mole that gives him details of discussions on here.THM is not in Jim good books ,directly for comments written on this forum.

Jim knows how the fans are feeling. He has commented on it several times in his proggramme notes.it seems to have hardened his attitude to those players being criticised and he is now less likely to drop them, that he ever would.I'm sure he sees the criticism as a slur on his abilitity to choose the right players for the club, and wants to prove a lot a people wrong about a few players that he still has faith in.I really hope he does prove us wrong and have the last laugh. There's nothing i would like more than for our forwards to be playing well and scoring regulary.

But i said months ago, that i will ultimately judge our forwards by their ability to score against top half opposition.

I'll judge the team by where it finishes at the end of the season.

Not everyone who knows JC is a TOTE member some of us were Greenlights and some neither.

It is not that we have bad players just that some are low on confidence and getting lower with all the abuse they get. Some players like Lee Smith just seem able to put a bad touch behind them and keep taking the chances whilst others withdraw into themselves which starts certain people having a go at them which sends them more into themselves so they dont take the chances which........get the idea?

ALL our players deserve the support as I don't believe any of them go out to have a bad game or that Jim picks any player that he dosen't think can do the job needed on the pitch.
