Slough Town v Wealdstone: MATCH THREAD

Yep, put that fact in my NLP report Ian. Two very similar goals with us getting caught on the break. Think we may just - and I mean just deserved to have nicked it as our general play in the first-half was pretty good, but we did not get the breaks in front of goal.

We were hanging on a bit in the end - heavy legs on that pitch and they played well in the 2nd. One crazy moment near the end of the match when we were 3-2 up thogh. They played a long-ball up and we had left 3 on 3 at the back! That's the kind of situation where we miss Mets or Wilko who would have dropped in.

Thought Hodgey was awesome up front pretty much on his own. Avery again played very well with Steele closely behind him.

And does that put us on the Sky Sports News table?

Yes first of all ..a very good match by both teams keep the game going end to end, though Slough just put their heads over the winning line with clear chances on the goal...

well battled Slough...up the rebels... <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/applaus.gif" alt="" />

Thought we deserved the points today for the battling performance and not giving up when they equalised.

Hodges my MOTM pureley for his effort today, although most of the player did well with Alexis standing out.

Does anyone know who the officials were today as they were different from the match programme?

A very entertaining game on an awful pitch. Hodge did well and I thought Harris did too.

MOTM for me was the dapper gentlemen of, ahem, a certain age who won the draw at half time, and who drives from Bath to see every home game. Well done mate.

We have taken the sensible decision before to cancel capital league matches due to the condition of the pitch, why could Windsor not have done this on Wednesday?

To make matters worse the pitch was trained on on Thursday, fair enough they don’t have any where else to train but surely it has to be one or the other, or some work needs to be done before the Saturday?!

The pitch was in a horrendous state after the match, maybe the worst I have ever seen it.
