With a dozen odd games to go and looking at the remaining fixtures, here is my top six with finishing points :-

Erm yeah O K I may have been a bit hasty with that prediction but I still think the top two will be borehamstiff's and stamford, I think you'll finish 3rd and you and wivenhoe will contest the play off final. I wasn't being nasty good luck with it.

I might be being a bit generous to Enfield there.

 

One thing I am certain of is that Potters Bar, Berkhamsted, Ilford and Avely are not going to get an automatic promotion spot.

Here's a prediction for you Enfield Blade....

 

Sheffield United: 2nd, York City: 2nd and Enfield Town: 2nd

 

While I'm at it, I also predict E's will finish 10th and Wednesday will finish 19th.

 

I only hope Town don't need they play-offs. I don't think I could cope with the play-offs for Town and City!

I've got you losing to Enfield Town and to Wivenhoe but can see no reason why, on current form, you should not get maximum points from the remaining 8 games which gives you 64 points. Perhaps the hardest task might be Dartford. However from what I saw on Saturday when, take Martin out of the side, there was nothing else to worry about. The Dartford defence from goalkeeper on does look susceptible to pace and did seem to get caught in possesion on several occasions.

 

Whether 64 points will be sufficient to get you to 4th is another matter. But since I've suggested that you should beat Dartford, Waltham Forest, Arsley and Rothwell. Chatham have to play Wivenhoe twice, Arseley, Stamford and Corby and have probably got the hardest run in of the teams that could make the playoffs whilst Enfield appear to have the easiest it is certainly not impossible that you could make it.

You has the same start to the league as Wivenhoe and look where they are now!

As I always said, you appear to have inherited Lazerou's lack of ambition. I remember a meeting at the old Southbury Road addressed by the a*s*hole that the best EFC can hope for in the old Ryman league days was 5th. Seems your horizons are a lot lower these days.

Steph.I think the fans of EFC are just being realistic.With crowds of just over 100,high rent,no bar receits,playing outside the borough..etc,of course the projected ambition cannot be the same as it once was . 10th in the league does seem to be a realistic assessment.From where they were a few months ago, to finish in the top half would be a good achievement.
