The BBC sports page has a quote from Jeff saying he is hoping lee will be back in a week or so.

 

this can only be good news, im sure that if he hadn’t bee injured he would have been up there with the top goal scorers this season and that could have only helped us

good news.the results last season showed what a difference his presence made(even when he didnt score himself)

however,i hope fans dont expect the guy to work miracles - even Lee cant be expected to do it all on his jack.

just hope him being out there will inspire the others a bit.

i was reading the teletext on Friday, the night before the southport match and it said Jeff King has a variety of player to choose from including ''Dominic Sterling' 'Staurt Bimson' and 'Lee Boylan' but i think the got it wrong AGAIN!!

I see Crawley are not much better with Canvey Island....they are not much better for Hereford United.

I think Lee will have to get match fit before he makes an appearance. I reckon he could come back against Woking for about 20 mins and maybe get a start against Scarborough.

Do you remember when they used to say "The BBC's coverage of sport is the best in the world?" - that comment looks more than a little dated now doesn't it?

 

Mind you, I think it was only the BBC that said it about themselves so perhaps with what passes for their coverage these days (ie trying to convince people that the Boat Race is still a major event)even they have given up pretending. Be nice if they would check their facts before putting them on their website though.

It's just obvious that they dont give a monkey's about anyone apart from the so called important top league teams who they have top-class information on.

Nice to see Lee taking part in the kickabout before the start of the game at Stevenage tonight, with Canvey's distinct lack of spark upfront recently hopefully now he is not too far away from actually playing again.

I do worry that we pin our hopes on Boylan all the time and i wisj we could look to other players like other teams seem to do.

 

I think our trouble is that we think we have this league understood, but we really dont. We are not a bad side but we seem to act like a Ryman League side sometimes and think that coz of past reputation, we are far superior. We so are not and need to look at ourselves really quickly!

it was nice to see him back after such a long time..however i dont rely on him to score all the goals we need to win. But he is a quality striker and i do wish he returns soon to the 1st team
