Jesus - the only way I can tell how old I am is too carbon date my pants.

The last check had me born somewhere between the Magna Carta and the Turin Shroud

From what I hear, BN1 gets near your pants quite often Shauneeeeeeeee!!

Now you know I don't like to quibble, but technically a radiocarbon determination on your underpants, or presumably a deposit on your underpants, would provide a date range for the death of the deposit, that is when it ceased to (indirectly) exchange carbon isotopes with the atmosphere, not your date of birth. Firstly it would have to be demonstrated that they were your underpants, not for example a family heirloom that had been handed down father to son for generations, or an old pair that you hade bought from a charity shop. Then it would have to be shown that the deposit dated originated from you. In itself, pooh cannot necessarly be radiocarbon (14C) dated, you need an organic substance - perhaps a raisin or peanut contained within the pooh matrix. Of course provided it was cotton you might be able to obtain a determination from the garment itself.
