Now here's someone who can score goals.

 

SLOMA - LOOKING FOR ANOTHER CLUB

16/02/2006

 

Twenty-three-year-old Sam Sloma has left Southern League Division One East club Wingate & Finchley and is on the lookout for another club, preferably in the Premier Division or Nationwide South.

 

Sloma (pictured), captained Wimbledon’s youth team before they became MK Dons and was a prominent member of their reserve team before being released and joining Aylesbury United.

 

He then signed for Wingate & Finchley in December 2002 and has been an important member of their first-team ever since.

 

Sloma , who represented Great Britain in the 2005 Maccabiah Games, has made more than 160 appearances for Wingate and has scored a number of important goals from midfield.

Sloma....a self confessed midfield player, who is quoted as giving his expectation to score 10 goals this season !

Okay for midfield by thats it.

He appears to have played most games this season and has been Captain.

Why is he leaving / has left ?

Do we need another midfield player ?

 

Where is the big goal-scoring forward that the supporters ( some anyway ) would like to see at the Town.

 

You only have to look around the various League stats to see where they are.

Now then, would they leave their Club to join Town ? <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/boxing.gif" alt="" />

Eh Richard howard is in the goal scoring charts but he couldn't, IMO hack it at town.

Football is a team game and you need the individuals to blend. At present Town aren't blending but that doesn't mean you just look at proven goal scorers.

Richard can only play for PB as he wants to be a big man in a little pool and is not willing to subsume his outstanding talents to the benefit of the team.

I remember one of Richards comments (You hear then on the side lines)somebody had just done a foul throw. There feet were over the line.

"I do not believe that you dont that!" He did not say this once but several times. That is not the way to win friends and influence people. Whatever you say about the current squad they seem to want to play for the team.
