Come on Town

Okay, Okay, it has all been said before, but for christ's sake !!

No team expects to win all their home games, but from the 45 points available to date we have won 21 and dropped 24.

Thank God for our early season away record, which has been fantastic to date.

Geordie up front as a make shift forward just sums up the situation we are in at the moment.

And yes, I have said it before, but what are the Management doing about finding a goal scorer ??

There has been talk on here of making more money, but crowds are dropping off as quick as the lost points.

Come on Town...expectations are high. <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/boxing.gif" alt="" />

Never mind a goalscorer. What about a midfield that can play the right passes for the forwards who are on the field.

While Trevor Paul was on we still played the aimless high balls that their defence could deal with all night against our attack. Then Graeme Hall came on and we started playing the short passes that Trevor (and Bryan) would kill for.

We need to deal with the cause, not the symptom. Either our midfield is being told to do the wrong things or they are ignoring instructions. Either way something needs to be done and until it is no-one up front will realise their true potential.

TS

I think you are right, but it could be a bit of both.

If the Management Team see it is not going right they are there to do something about it.

BUT when do you see "instructions" from the dug out during a game to change things around ??

I agree with your comments about service, but, we still need a front runner who can score, or at best "hold the ball" for other to pick up from.

After last night it can only get better. <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/boxing.gif" alt="" />

Perhaps he's bringing a step ladder with him or even a real ladder.

O well, that's good news isn't it ?
Should be able to win the high balls against the 6'6" defenders then, or we going to start playing the balls along the turf !!
Whats going on chaps ? <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/boxing.gif" alt="" />

Funny you should say that Old Towner, that is exactly what Rock Steady & myself said on Tuesday night, you couldnt make it up could you.
However Im glad to see Deano back, (If indeed he is!) always gives 110% & can kick a ball with both feet!! <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/whistling.gif" alt="" />
Could also be an alternative up front to a central defender too! <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/whistling.gif" alt="" />

Only taken 5 points out of a possible 21 in our last 7 league games, something needs to change & fast!

At the same time? Blimey, that is a good trick!

Funny. Before the home game against Potters Bar, Very Little Miss Happy was the mascot and whilst the players were warming up she was demonstrating to Dave Allen and later to Peter Hammett how to do precisely that!!!

I remember that, David Allen tried it and almost fell over.

She ought to be on your coaching staff, it might not improve the teams performances but it will be entertaining.
