Just been looking at our season's progress. We have played 37 games in all competitions this season and for the sake of this particular experiment I cut the season roughly in half; the first 18 games, up to the 2-0 defeat at home to Hendon, and then the next 19 games starting with the 3-2 cup win at home to Redbridge.

 

What I have done is counted cup games as if they were league games and worked out points, etc. The Chesham game which went to penalties I have counted as a draw.

 

This is our record for the first 18 games.

Goals scored 30

Goals conceded 35

Goal Difference -5

Points 18 out of 54 (33.33%)

 

This is our record for the next 19 games.

 

Played 19

Won 9

Drawn 4

Lost 6

Goals scored 32

Goals conceded 26

Goal Difference 6

Points 31 out of 57 (54.39%)

 

In the first 18 games;

 

We scored in 13 of those games

And kept a clean sheet in 1 of those games

 

In the next 19 games;

 

We scored in 14 of those games

And kept clean sheets in 4 of those games

 

But to me, THIS is the most staggering stat;

 

In the first 18 games are home and away records were like so;
