Where's the pace?

Guest

I have noticed that people keep referring to the lack of pace in our attacks.

Have we got a slow team?

Who are our quickest players?

It seems that every team with pacey players causes us trouble, Has Jeff got all slow players?

The Pace in our team comes from Wardy, Minton,Duffers, Brayley and Boylan (who was superb Saturday .. can we pass on to the others some of what he gave us). Agreed we'd all like to see some more.

Prothers ... great game Saturday, Forbes (first half) ... good.

Brayley ... always good. Duffers ... back on form again !

Minton ... putting up a fight. Not forgetting Potter (saved

our backsides at least 3 times) !!

Come on Canvey, we must start mixing it up a bit.

I think we need to get behind the lads a whole lot more, they need it and deserve it from us !!

Let's stir it up tomorrow, both on the pitch and on the terraces !!

We can beat absolutely anyone !!! Remember ???

Alf Ramsey, Teddy Sheringham,Bobby Moore, Alan Ball,Danny Blanchflower, Johnny Giles, Liam Brady, Alan Mullary.

Etc Etc no particular order but all very capable of making intelligent fast movement but not one of them "fast" in cadence terms

Bobby Moore had to be the slowest world class defender ever but not between the ears

Teddy S in hyper quick modern games probably the fastest maker of intelligent attacking moves
