I did something tonight I've never done before!

Don't be so rude! No, after years of threatening to go, Tom and I went to see Slough Jets at the Hanger! What a laugh!

 

It finished 3-2 to Slough against Telford Tigers although their second goal came as the final buzzer sounded, some might argue a split second afterwards.....and quite a few Jets players and fans did argue! Couple of good punch ups and Tom almost died of a heart attack when two players crashed into the barrier right in front of us!

 

Difficult to gauge what the crowd was as I've never been in there before but there was probably a few hundred. There were certainly more Telford fans than most Ryman clubs bring to Stag Meadow.

 

Prices were almost exactly the same as a Ryman Premier game for both adults and kids (£8.50/£4.00). I'd recommend it and I suspect we'll be going again. It was certainly quite strange hearing people shouting "come on Slough" in the same way they do when watching the Rebels!

No, Staines, I didn't specifically ask if we could build a stadium and I didn't have to ask when it will fall down as by the look of it, it'll be fairly soon!
