Sunday's Non-League Paper

Today’s NLP report of the game is typical one-sided crap.

The headline is ‘Same old sad story for Dons’, and it goes on to whinge about how they can’t seem to see off these little bottom-half teams. It is all Wimbledon this and Wimbledon that.

Margate scored with their ‘first venture forward’ (RUBBISH!). Hockton given ‘too much freedom’ for the second goal (have a look at the video mate!).

Entertainment 2 stars, man of the match Hockton (the only Margate player whose name the reporter knows – and that is probably only because it was announced after the goals).

No mention of Brayley, who ran their defence ragged. No mention of the match being won by the team with the more skilful players and better team spirit.

Why don’t NLP leave that stuff for the Dons fanzine and print proper unbiased reports?

Given at this level all reports are written by somebody from the home team it is not surprising that the report has a home whiff. The same is true for reports submitted from matches at Hartsdown.

Congratulations on your win but judging by what has been written above, the education system in Thanet is producing infidels by the dozen.

"Producing infidels". Sounds a bit like sour grapes to me. And, for your knowledge, there are a number of intelligent individuals on this forum!

Michael Holland a.k.a 'The Idiot With The Drum'!

Er... Michael you seem to be disproving your own theory there!
