Video review

Having watched the video clips on the excellent donsonline.net website, I have the following thoughts...

*Wasn't Bertie superb in setting up the first goal?

*I would put our keeper at fault for their goal, he didn't have to rush out like that. Made a great save earlier though.

*Hockton's booking was rather petty. He just did a silly dance, it wasn't as if he was threatening to kill anyone's kids.

*At the time I thought Bill's red was harsh, but having seen the tape it was probably justified. Their man would have been well away.

A good day out and good luck to AFC.

[color:"blue"]Just goes to show what class acquisions Bertie & Danny were . I have to admit that I was beginning to have doubts about Hockton, having seen him screw up a few 'sitters', I was beginning to think he'd lost his way. But his two yesterday were sheer class with superb 'assists' by Brayley for both. MAGIC !!!

Brayley's run for the first goal was even better than it looks, because the clip starts after he had already beaten a couple of players.

I shared your thoughts about Hockton PeterW. In the Thurrock game he had a chance to lob the keeper but waited too long, and against Folkestone he took too many touches a couple of times. He certinly looked the part yesterday.

The video also shows up some glaring refereeing errors. Mind you, the ref only looked about 16 so perhaps he needs some more experience.

I always thought Hockton just needed one from open play to settle him down and take the pressure off. He came here being touted as the man to score the goals to get us up the league and thats does bring pressure no matter how confident or good you are so now he will feel all the better for it and can enjoy his football and bang em in hopefully <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />

Brayley - what can you say? Incredible performance, what a run for the 1st and what a touch for the 2nd, great flick on by Hilaire as well. We look a TEAM now.

[color:"blue"]I wrote the same yesterday on another thread, but have to confess that I thought CK had 'lost the plot' with so many changes of personnel. I confess I was wrong - he's got the nucleas of a decent side and has let them gel int a team! We seem to excel against the higher placed teams (Fisher/AFC/H&R)so am looking forward to Saturday's fixture against League Leaders Braintree Town.

For those who don't know, the 'coursework' was actually the drum....very long story! Can't see us getting away crowds like that again. The game yesterday just brought out a lot of the fans who used to go to away games in the Conference days. I think we will go back to like the Slough game, Alex. But I do hope I am proved wrong. And I am afraid I will not be making the Wealdstone game, first game I will have missed since the Heybridge away game.

Sorry about that Michael it is just that someone told you were doing coursework on the coach and besides you were doing coursework when we went to Slough. Also I thought the away support when we played slough was quite good, a full coach and quite a few making their own way up. Its ashame you aint going to Wealdstone game, which will mean we will not have a drummer.

You have a hospital appointment, you dont feel well, you have a funeral to go to, you have dentist, you have left the iron on and no one is at home or say you have a wedding to go to on the saturday and it is in Scotland and that you are leaving at 4pm and you need to go get your stuff and get ready. Most of them have worked for me.
