Some ideas for the shop

I made the suggestion before,of flannels and towels with the club crest on. I received a set from a Premiership team, and have pride of place in my bathroom. I would love to have a Fleet set to go with them!

Even if it was the GLC ( which it isn't as it was abolished many years ago ), surely ( or even Shirley ), the fact that neither Gravesend or Northfleet are in London, would indicate to you that we would stand probably as much chance of receiving sponsorship from, say, Gillingham ( Medway Unitary Authority ), as we would from a council funding and representing the interests of Londoners?

The club shop team are happy to try and change stock as often as they can. however we cannot get in 100 of something just to sell 1. We were asked to get in Pint glasses, we investigated, got in 50 and have sold 1. So the other 49 are taking up room and costing us money. To get towels etc, is a great idea, but we have to have a minimum order otherwise the set would cost mega money and would stay on the shelf.

 

We simply cannot compete with clubs, that have thousands of supporters, who have a large spending power. We sell loads of the favourite hats, scarves, badges, pens etc, we change the styles every couple of years and they sell again. But to move into getting in loads of stock that may or may not sell, would sadly not be cost effective. We can get training gear but it is ordered for the individual, same as keepers tops, shorts, fleeces etc. they take about two weeks to come in and people seem happy to wait. The calendar is a point in question which is why we have not done a 2006 version.

 

Sorry to be so blunt, we stock what sells, not what might.

Fully understand your reasons for selling what you sell.But do we have a outlet at the training ground? Also Jess have we considered getting a Feng Shui expert in to change things around to help us sell stock? We could even do a Fleet fans guide to Feng Shui.

Superb, exactly how long do you think it would take to write an autobiography and get it published then? Which season were you planning for this event to take place in? Autographing photographs or programmes might be more realistic.
