hi chris s and all.

i have read a bit obout the plans there.

my grandad once a long term suporter lives on the britwell and is for the progect i belive as he could still watch slough if it happened in britwel or even temperarily wexham park(unlikely) or even colnbrook.

we hope that one of thease actuly happens so we can be back in slough making things a lot eayer for many. i notced as i am a member of the trust lots of britwel leaflets curculating for trust members (curtain chosen few and the commitie otherwise no real news and secrets kept possibly until after todays match. i now have a link to the leaflet on the website but having a mighty big problem printing the document ( only prints part of it and not the map or britwell for some reason.) im wandering if one in the post to me evon though i don't live in the britwel or can i have a copy availible by post off linked document either by post or at saturdays game at home to wealdstone so i can share my own thoughts and my grandads thoughts and maybe me and my grandad could right a combined letter with my thoughts as i am very interested in this progect and only live about a mile or so from the relevent plots and poss redevelopments meaning will use present facilaties and new ones if they happen if accaisonly. my grandad uses them most days in the week.

i hope chris s can reply or someone if i can and poss my gandad an i take part in the progect and the meeting on the 22nd and get a copy of the leaflet to share between us.

we're not going back to Wexham unless someone's got the sizeable amount of coin needed to get the stadium up to scratch (and it's not a case of a little paint here and there - the roof's falling in and the concrete terracing is breaking up). We're not going to get a ground in Britwell or Colnbrook because if Deaner's got the money for it, then I'm president of China. Hold on kids, we're in for a bumpy ride

it's a mess. It's going to take more than a lick of paint to get it up and running and also everyone seems to be missing the main point: if we do go back to Wexham Park we'll be in EXACTLY the same situation as we are at The Black Hole Of Charisma - paying an extortionate amount with no access to any of the subsequent income from the ground. What's the f***ing point of that?

everyone???

You were the one who suggested it. You are arguing with yourself now.

It could be a useful temporary solution on the right terms (i.e. car boot, bars and golf money to us) whilst a new stadium was being built, but with the amount of work it needs doing to it and the fact I can't see Byron Thorne even being remotely interested in a deal that would be suitable for us, I don't think it is an option sadly.

It ain't happening, now get over it.

Liam, that is the only point you have made on this thread that I disagree with. We should not "get over it" - we should actively campaign to get these hypocrites out. This is not meant to be a political statement in favour of anyone else but these independents rallied passionately against a feasability study carried out at Martyn Deaner's cost and are now supporting a consultation that is clearly contrary to the opinions already purportedly expressed (by the politicians themselves) by local residents.

Liam...It does not have to be all Deaners money...but he proberly has spent almost 1 milllion at least for keeping slough going now for almost 9 seasons...His money...I am sure that he would be able to get some investments from other sources, if the investers could see a good return on the money ! in this case would have been able to finace it and also because of the stadium the other money we could lay our hands on could have ammount to millions...so yes it is worth a fight..

If we get a piece of land ourselves IE if slough council do find us somewhere to go, then the efforts made to secure grants etc etc will begin...

yes maybe pie in the sky to the new president of China ! but we have to try mate..no good burying our heads in the sand.... at least we can keep some pressure going..if we don't succeed at least we have tried... Thats all...

So what do you suggest Nibbler?

Giving up isn't an option in my book.

This club's been part of my life since I was a boy when my Grandad and my Dad took me. It's in the blood now and I for one can't just give it up.

but where did everyone get the idea that it's somehow the council's obligation to find us a home? My grandad resigned as head of the councils sport board because they quite clearly don't care, so unless there's a massive shift in power it's not going to change. By all means go and scream about the Britwell plan changes but they ain't going to change

You have gone too far now Liam, I think you should concentrate on comments about football on this site and not attack people personally.

Your comments are disgusting and we are really angry with you.

If this is an attempt at humour you have failed miserbly and I think you owe us an apology.
