Railway Athletic Fans on our forum

Dear Defrancog, Superslough and everyone else who contributes to this forum.

We are just a small Town in Yorkshire with two clubs to sustain. Railway are the lower positioned side in the town at the moment but in years to come who knows. We survive on small gates a bit of sponsorship (Thank you Sportsnetwork) and a lot of good will. The club is built with a community background. We have FA approved trained teams from the age of 7 - 17 an academy side, reserve and First team. These are all run by people who give much of themselves to create a club we are proud of. Slough Town, all through having your own difficulties recently are a bigger club and have all the whistles and bells that go with it. We are just bathing in our heady heights of reaching the FA 1st Rnd proper for the first time in our history. Surely you can put up with a bit of fun and banter for the next week or so because after Saturday's game we'll disappear what ever the result.

Having corresponded with yourselves and other clubs forums on the way there are rumblings of Harrogate Railway getting their own Web Site with a forum. When we do I'll write back and invite you to contribute in whatever way you wish.

Looking forward to Saturday see you there

Dave

Thanks for the reply Dave. No disrespect intended at all............in fact, lots of our fans took the opportunity to post on Canvey Island's site after our meeting in the previous round to congratulate them on their fans' approach to the tie. At the minute, it just feels like we are about to play a faceless enemy as info on your team is very hard to get.

Anyway, really looking forward to Saturday..............Come on you Rebels !!!!

Sorry all y

ou Slough Rebels. Must apologise

for not having a web-site. It is just as

inconvenient for us. What I do find more

annoying, however, is the mis-spelling that

we often find. Just check-out the fixture

list on the Slough Town web-site and you

will find that you are actually playing

Harrowgate Railway. How would you react if

Slough was spelt Slow? Anyway good luck

on Saturdaya

Of course Harrogate Railway fans are welcome to express their views, not only on this site, but on Saturday too, to see how a really useful football side plays. Anyone who says differently has spent too much time talking to Gordon the grumpy engine. A word of warning on the club's beer--tastes as if its been stored in Thomas's tank, along with the fish that gave him boiler trouble in 1 episode. Your better off trying the Red Lion.

Saturday will see Harrogate Railway's cup run hit the buffers, as their hopes are derailed by a stationary defence and a first class Slough performance. Its the end of the line for Harrogate. Hope you have a good day with us because you'll be tender going home. Peep, peep. Everything points to a Slough victory.

Matt is that another name for a dull finish?

We're down Friday on a firm platform with a full head of steam. Don't get above your station Rail are on track right up to the buffers. You boys might come in a tube Harrogate Railway always come on time.

It's not over till the Fat Controller sings

Regards

Surprised there's no reply from

the 'Slow' coaches in response

to 'Arrowgate's fleet-footed

attack. Beware the 'Rat-boy' -

supersub Andy Sunley. Railways

own version of Michael Owen.

Haven't heard of him? (Sunley,

that is) you will have come

4-50 this Saturday.

Cheers, Bob the gecko.

I believe the mighty Richard Pierson got the other at Moss Rose. To be fair though I have been proved wrong quite a few times on here recently!

Not long to go now, the banter and our visits to your site will be over. The odds on two Harrogate sides for in round 2 are apparantley 3/1 at one bookies, but a Beaver never bets especially a mighty one at that. To all the Railway players and supporters may the Beaver force be with you!!!!!!!!
