Well as games go this was a pleasure to watch. Football on a bowling green. Naill Richie was on excellent for darting in on 17 minutes for a flying attempt at a header. Brook House had their chances early on with the ball being flipped across the goal from a corner. Niall Ritchie was causing all sorts of problems getting in amongst the defenders to just miss. Matty Negus hit a rocket which was tipped by Jimmy over his bar. Steve Velandia had a shot saved. Finally in the 38th minute Niall Ritchie broke free from his marker with a deft little back heal and the marker had no choice but to bring him down just outside the box. Rudi stepped up and curled it around the wall and Jimmy the keeper just looked a stranded onlooker. Niall Ritchie almost got a second just before halftime with a header down in front of goal that bounced so hard it went over the bar rather than in the net. Oops.

 

At halftime Bryan Hammatt came on for Steve Baldwin. Town were still playing nice flowing football and this still had the feel of a training match. Ken Kamata came out into a one on one and kicked the ball way into the stand. On 61 minutes Paul Campbell come into the game more eventually he was brought down for a free kick just outside the box on the right. Rudi again stepped up and made a lovely cross for Trevor Paul to tap in simply. 0 – 2.

Niall Ritchie made a flick on for Matty Negus to just miss. Paul Campbell again brought down on edge of box, town fans appealed for penalty but nothing given. Chopper came on for the last 10 minutes, so they woke Ken up and Chopper came back to a little bit of work but nothing too serious.

The tea bar at Brook House is one of the few that is fully open for Ladies games when some clubs wont even open the club bar.
