Not been a good night for Tamworth

Recommended Posts

Keeper off injured, no sub keeper on the bench.

Sub that came on to replace keeper sent off.

And they lost 3-0 to D&R

Both sides had a player sent off at the end following a brawl.

Meanwhile Worksop & accrington playing extra time.

I can only assume that Worksop have scored and they have decided not to go back to the match.

Accy obviously get to concentrate on the League campaign now then - their fans probably have mixed feelings - the quarter final draw looked inviting for them (although given Boreham Wood's wins against us & Crawley it wouldnt have been a doddle), yet most would happily give up Trophy success if it helps ensure promotion.

I remember that game I think. turner sent off, Barnett in goal...didn't we draw 2-2 that night against heybridge swifts? Aaron played wicked in goal, saved an excellnnt free kick because jamie got sent off for handball outside the area(towards the beginning of the 01/02 season when we drew with heybridge and lost at home to chesham?) must apologise for spelling or writing, have only just got in from university and am rahter drunk, but hope my memmory serves me well. Well played Aaron that night.

It was actually 1-1. You're correct about the rest though.

John Coleman's comments before the first match suggested they were really out to win the competition as well - that is to say, it wasn't going to be a half-hearted attempt with a weakened side like Reading in the FA Cup this season.
