I've obviously voted for Charlie however one thing entered my mind.

 

Charlie played two full matches in the conference in January, plus one first half v Cambridge and the full game v Boreham Wood. Now the Wood performance wouldn't have won any of our player’s awards despite Charlie both scoring and hitting the post. The other three games he played in wouldn't, I don't think, have warranted a Man of the Month performance.

 

Before you lot start jumping on me saying I'm slagging off our own players, I'm not. But seeing how you have to register your email address to vote I suspect different reasons as to why one of our players has been picked.

An interesting point - it hasn't been one of Charlie's very best months for us.

 

At least the list isn't totally striker-orientated this month like it usually is. But the whole thing is flawed anyway, since at Conference level the only players you see play on a regular basis for a reasonable length of time (i.e. unlike the conferencefootball.tv highlights snippets) are those for your own club, meaning that you cannot possibly say objectively who really was the best player of the month.

Spoke to Charlie on Monday, has a problem with his knee and maybe has to go for a scan, lets hope it is not serious.

Only three players have played more league games than him this season, though. I'll settle for a striker only fit "half the season" (more like 4/5ths I reckon) if he scores 18-20 goals, than a super-fit Sigere who gets one, in off someone else's ar$e!

which is nowhere near half.
