I've just been adding some more matches to the archives, and on 7th February 1978 we played Dover in the Kent Senior Cup and won 2-0.

 

Time for history to repeat itself.

Talking of Archives I took a look tonight at the following season 1978-1979 and it says Wimbledon beat us 1-0 in the KSC on the 28/11/78. Was this the famous year Wimbledon passed themslves off as a Kent club or is it a typo as Maidstone actually knocked us out this year on the 01/04/79.

 

Although it is nice to see that we didn't lose in the FA Cup that year, the first non-league team since Spurs in 1901.

Dover fans reckon they might rest a few tonight to concentrate on the league. Dryden is injured too, which is a bonus.
