Dunno. As far as I'm concerned, Rudi is a great player and has done a good job for us this season. I don't have any complaints in that department.

Of course if Rudi and his colleagues gave the forwards better service...

 

The same people are complaining about the forwards not scoring and the midfield lumping high balls into the box. Surely I'm not the only one who has spotted that there might just be a connection there.

I was not having a go a Rudi.He is one of my favourite players,but Southport said that Rudi was showing the forwards the way in how to score goals.Both our forwards have scored more goals in open play than Rudi.So obviously that is not correct.As Mr Happy rightly said it shouldn't be up to our midfield players to show our forwards how to score.

According to the Traveller seven have been: Ritchie 2 (he was up front at Harlow), Hammatt 2, Smith 2 and Green 1.

To be fair to Hammett.He deserved to have got a penalty after being chopped down,both at Waltham Forest, and earlier in the season at Sittingbourne.

Jim,can i refur you to my question a few days ago,asking for the percentage of games in which we have scored one goal or less this season,compared to last season.

Ls Can i refer you to the answer that has been on the post you put it on... Waltham Forest 0 ETFC 1. It has been there for a couple of days.

last season we played 54 competitive games and scored 1 goal or less in 23 of them = 42.59%

 

this season we have played 39 games and have scored 1 goal or less in 18 of them = 46.15 %.

 

still doesnt get away from the goals we are conceding or the way we play to the front men tho does it....

BTW - I never mind answering stats questions that may cause anyone problems getting the information and if there is a point to them. Your question could have been answered yourself very quickly by checking info already available.

 

Traveller found it easily enough. THere are pages of stats available - updated weekly, on the ETFC wb site. Questions like yours about %s of games where we have scored 1 or less goals I appreciate might take a bit more effort hence my reply.

 

Question as to how many goals someone has scored with headers, left or right peg are not kept as there is a limit. You could check the match reports tho.

 

Anyway, may I please suggest that you adopt a more positive attitude to the players and where this club finds itself. I think the achievements are quite remarkable considering the circumstances we operate under.

Last Season we conceded 46 goals at 0.85 per game

THis season we have conceded 41 at 1.03

in our history 238 at 0.98....

 

THis and a further breakdown as to home and away and stuff around the various competitions is available on my stats pages on the web site.Every one of my posts bears the same message....

Regarding asking for a breakdown of goals from our top scorer.I still maintain that that was a perfectly valid question to ask our stats man. (ps.. I can't access your speadsheets on my computer.)

 

Jim.Regarding being over critical. Its because i know what this team can achieve.When on form ,we can beat any team in this league easily.Its just that this season we have committed many more individual errors both at the back and up-top.

 

So superficially we are in a great position,i agree.Would we have taken this position at the start of the season? Of course we would.

 

But looking at the quality of opposition in this league (which is lower than we predicted) and all the wasted oppotunities we've missed this season, and the losing games we should have won..etc, and it does get frustrating.

I'm critical of this set of players sometimes, because i know they can achieve more.

jim what percentage of the facts people ask you for are really that important and what is your pint to game ratio this season when the games have resulted in a victory as against a defeat?
