Well I backed the gate to win 1-0,2-0,2-1,4-0 & 4-1. Only a pound in each but for once I was right. I really did feel that today was going to be a winning day. Wish I had had more on them now but isnt that always the way. I only won £14 on the bet plus my stake of £5 back

Surely the above is impossible?
You could only win on 1 bet and therefore only £1 in winning stake would be returned, with 4 losing £1 bets?

Of course it should have read £1 back. Yes you are right.I made a win on the whole day nevertheless.I was thinking of the whole (£5) I had laid out. I still won £14 on the bet PLUS my one pound back. My goodness it was just an error but an error that didnt affect my overall winnings of £14 plus my £1 back. Therefore my outlay was £5 & my returns were £15. A total net profit of £10. How long has that taken you to sus that one out for goodness sake.It was a small error thats all. Do you go back over old posts just to pick holes in them for goodness sake.

I didnt at any point say I had won £19 did I?

Its pretty obvious the mistake I made to anyone who knows anything about betting. Der!

How long ago was my post made? Desperate to put one over on me are you? Well done! And since when did this kind of post come under this topic of "lucky omens" anyway.

I don't know I was just asking! Can't we tell that you're a south eastern colleague.

As for the 'old posts' it was only 4 days later - hardly prehistoric.

Prefer trebles myself by the way, tend to win 8/10 times.

Watford, Lincoln and Accrington this weekend.....

Good lord JJ, you mean I won you some money?

Just rated all the midweek league matches, seeing as I am at work.
Never touch cup matches of any nature.
Might reveal the selections later after seeing what odds are available.

Edit: maybe I didn't, seeing as I just read JJ's sub-title.
What price Margate to beat Fleet?
Hmmmmm. Seeing as this is our only outlet for silver, I don't think it will happen.

Nice one FF.Drinks are on you then when we visit.Dont lose it all before we visit will you. Look forward to your next tipping service.

I had £40 on Hammers at 15-8 minus 1 goal start on the handicap. Not as good as your win it helps all the same.

I don't think it'll happen - but it just might. "Our only chance of silver this season" - as if Gernerf FC are prolific competition winners - arrogant barstewards

Providing work doesn't clash (as you will know!) then it'll be nice to catch up with you for a drink.

As for next tips:
I mentioned Coventry, Colchester & Carlisle midweek but I won't be going mad on it - £10 will do.

Oh come on JJ - not arrogance at all but you've got to admit if we play our 1st team all the way then we are worthy favourites?

As for the prolific winners, we currently share the 3 in a row record with you.

Now we wouldn't want you getting a 4th in a row, would we?

Yes probably, but I don't think that 3 in a row is the record. I think either your predecessors Northfleet United or possibly Maidstone United, before the War won 4 in a row. In fact, I,ve just noticed it's Northfleet United with 5 wins between 1924 and 1928 - and don't try and claim the credit for that. It's a bit like AFC Wimbledon thinking they won the Cup in 1988. Dartford won it 3 years in a row between 1931 and 1934.
