Slough Town v Bromley: MATCH THREAD

Did not throw it away. They more than deserved their point and were pretty much camped in our half for the last 35 minutes of the match. In the end we were lucky to get a point.

We missed McCleary and Ballard today big-time. Despite Hodges scoring he never looked fully fit and despite the on-loan Brentford boys doing well in the first half it's going to take them a while to get use to this level as they looked both shattered second-half and were in-effective.

Very light on the bench today and a lot of players still looked very tired from Tuesday night's match, but on the plus side it's another game unbeaten.

Disapointed with Seedel today, he was just wondering around the pitch not chasing balls - it is time we bought in someone intrested in scoring and let seedel go.

Though that we played well first half then sat back and played far to deep - how many times have we done that when we have been ahead!

Thought well done Masters had a very good game.

Todays attendance was 294,not sure it was announced as the microphone broke during the 2nd halve. Thanks for your support and have a safe journey home.Guess the shock of giving out the £650 must have made Roy drop the mike.Congratulations to the winner,at least one slough fan went home happy. <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/applaus.gif" alt="" />

If I recall correctly...

1. Clark Masters

2. Aaron Steele

3. George Moleski

4. Steve Daly

5. Mark Avery

6. Leon Woodruffe

7. Michael Alexis

8. Glen Harris

9. Ian Hodges (Matt Seedel)

10. Charlie Ide (Mark West)

11. Josias Carbon

I think Rav Braith was on the bench as well, not sure about Lovegrove, but that's about it...

Masters, Daly, Steele, Avery, Woodruffe, Harris, Carbon, Alexis, Hodges, Ide, Moleski. (Last 2 being the new Brentford Youth players)

Seedel came on for Hodges, West on for Ide - both going off injured. Parkin and Braith also on bench.

Does anyone know how long these 2 Brentford guys are with us?

I thought he and Daly were both good today. I would have given it to Steve just for the fact that I stood there at one point today and just thought to myself that he seems to have eradicated those mistakes from his game that he used to make every so often earlier this season. He looks more stable than he did at the start of the season, back nearer his old form.

It was definately a tired performance.

We hardley put in any tackles in the second half, and Bromley had a very high percentage of the ball. When we did get hold of it, it was hoofed back to them straight away.

I thought the two Brentford lads looked OK (hard to gel straight into the team), and one of them was even shorted than Westy.

We now know what Bromley, AFC and the others felt, after we did the same to them earlier in the season (come back from 2-0 down)

Hopefully after a bit of a rest, and maybe some players returning (fingers crossed) we will do well at Walton.

COME ON REBELS

Thought we were the better team in the first half and deserved a one goal lead. Charlie Ides looked useful and was unlucky not to score on a couple of occasions in the 1st half.

I thought our midfield were pretty poor, especially in the 2nd half. Bromley totally dominated and made our midfield look pedestrian and light-weight.

That's the worst and most anonimous game I've seen Chopper have and Alexis was back to his old ways of trying to stroll through the game and hardly broke sweat.

Have to agree Daly was excellent and IMO this was probably Avery's best game for us but my mom was Masters who caught every cross and never put a foot wrong.

a fair result on the day , both Slough in the first half and Bromley in the second half tried to play football.. a good game for the neutrals in the crowd !

Not to dissapointed.... we had 2 new players trying to settled down and missed Andy Ballard for his grit and determination....

another point gained...maybe be a vital one at the end of the day !

Just lost our way in the second half having played very well in the first half. Think it was a lot to do with tiredness and lack of options on the bench. Presumably Ballard will be next week and we will look stronger with that alone. Big worry with Hodgey's injury. We need that to clear up but we need him to play. Difficult decision for Eddie.
