Just heard that he got 2 years and a 6 year ban from football grounds - I don't know if that is all grounds or just League grounds. Very sad for him and his family but about what was expected for an act of incredible folly. Despite what he did, he has been excellent for Slough and I hope that this punishment does not prevent him from ever playing again as I am sure he will have learned his lesson for ever.

Veli has been given a 2 year sentence 1 of which is suspended so he will serve 1, he is also banned from playing football at conference league or above for six years. Despite what the news and press are saying there was no mention in court of Veli being a ring leader this is just complete and utter B******s it appeared that the judge had made up his mind before the defence had even been heard.

I just like to say all his close friends and family will be thinking of him and he will be greatly missed from Slough football team.

Does this not mean then that he could, with time off for good behaviour (and I sincerely hope he will be a good boy), be out in say 6 months and able to start next season?

The impression that I get is that he will serve eight months of his two year sentence then possibly be allowed out on good behaviour but be tagged so his whereabouts can be monitored.

 

Will be a great loss for the team, but at the same time, it was a very stupid thing to do regardless of what actions before hand may have led to it. The main thing is he's been big enough to come on here and admit what he did was wrong, and it was totally out of character for him.
