Preview to January POTM

Radders

Recommended Posts

Well, I've just completed my stats for January ready for Saturday's vote. I reckon it's between 2 (I'm not going to say who on here) but here are my top five, with a reason behind each.

1. Mark Avery - much improved month, mistake at AFC and an o.g. against Margate, but all in all much more solid, excellent in the win at Leyton.

2. Andy Ballard - hat-trick against Heybridge, opened the scoring in win at Leyton and all action displays in midfield mean he has a chance.

3. Josias Carbon - started three matches on the bench but was introduced to score winner at Leyton and has shown versatility in midfield.

4. Gareth McCleary - two goals against Margate, screamer at AFC and great cross for Hodges, shame about the red card but super skills throughout.

5. Clark Masters - showing football league class now, wonder saves at Leyton and AFC, and at home to Margate, and for the moment, the definate No 1.

Please note, these are just my opinions, they should in no way influence your vote, and as usual all players who have made any kind of appearance for Slough during January will be available on the voting form.

See you all Saturday, make YOUR vote count!!!

Would just like to point out that whilst it was Avery's header that gave the ball away at AFCW, Woodruffe should never have played the ball back to him, and it was the ball back to him which caused all the problems. Don't think it was Avery's fault, more Leon's.
