New Loan signing

Recommended Posts

Andy has signed John Nutter on loan from Aldershot for a month to cover for the injuries to Justin Skinner and Paul Sturgess.

This is what Shotsweb have to say about him:

JOHN NUTTER - MIDFIELDER

Date of Birth: 13/06/82 - Taplow Available for Loan

21-year-old left sided player who is equally at home in midfield or defence. Played for Wycombe Wanderers the season before last before joining Aldershot in the summer of 2001. John had previously been on the books of Blackburn Rovers. He came to prominence when he netted a crucial first goal for the club with an injury time winner at Heybridge Swifts in August 2001 and followed it up with a spectacular long range effort at home to Purfleet.

But unfortunately John was struck down by illness a few games later - and has since struggled to regain a place in the team, such is the strength of the squad. Now Terry Brown is in charge, John has his chance to stake a claim in the future Shots side. This season John has already scored some crucial goals for the Shots and is running Jason Chewins ever closer for the No 3 shirt. However, although Brownie has made it clear Nutts figures in his long term plans, he feels now is the right time to have an uninterrupted run in a first team side and so Nutts has been made available for loan.
