The Under 16s lost 3 0 against a very strong Stevenage lineup.

The Terriers went 3 goals up inside 20 minutes and our boys never really recovered. However they did play some nice football and this was maintained all the game.

We were coming into it more in the second half when Stevenage broke away and slotted home a fourth, which looked suspiciously offside.

There was barely a team available due to some injuries and after having had two hard games at Bowers, perhaps a wrong time to meet the current league leaders.

However our lads should take heart in that they are playing the right way and at times it is lovely to watch.

Mention of the referee who when booking one of our players said "You've been getting on my nerves all afternoon!"

Sounds like the referee was a real gent, I thought only Zody would talk to kids that way?!?!

Mon plaisir mate, he actually did something similar earlier on. I know it's a thankless task and maybe people do get on their backs a bit but there is a certain way to talk to players which if done correctly gets respect.

Both teams very disciplined though and a hard but fair game.
