In deed a great hat-trick by Clarkey ! I also thought Simon Martin had a good game up front.

 

In truth all a bit too easy as 'stoke did not have a lot to offer - bit of a shame we lost shape towards the end after the subs were sent on.

 

With Weymouth losing it's all geting rather exciting.

 

The dark days of last season now seem a long while ago.

Can't quite believe Weymouth managed to lose Carshalton!! They couldn't win a game to save their lives a few months back!!!

Skybet had charshalton down to win that game, reckon there might of been a few dodgey going ons. But good result for us today, although for the last 10 mins or so we just couldnt keep the ball or string a couple of pass' together. Onwards and Upwards!

Havant, Thurrock and Welling lost too, Lewes and Histon drew, Farnboro' are creeping up though.

 

Big game next week, 5th v 2nd, let's hope we're up for it.

We really need to win at Lewes to keep in touch, it's the sort of game we need to win to show our credentials.

Lewes have a very good team as well which has flattered to deceive!

I am concerned for Cambridge City, Laz. The press reports at the end of last week were frustratingly lacking in significant detail.

 

The Mighty Saints were suspended from the League when the Ryman League wanted assurances from the then Chairman that there were sufficient funds available to meet the clubs's obligations for the rest of the season. He couldn't give that assurance so we were stopped from playing.

 

I don't know anything of the current position at Cambridge other than was made public over the past couple of days, but I would be surprised if the Conference aren't seeking similar assurances from the Cambridge chairman about now.

The play offs could be intresting, if Cambridge qualifed would they be allowed to compete with their financal and ground issues? And if they were to merge with United would they just resign from the league and therefore the play offs as well.

With Lewes as well , I'm presuming their ground will still be unsutable, possibly in their as well we could have two teams unable to compete!

 

Can we get a 3rd team in there as well just to make sure we go up <img src="/forum/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />
