Just had word that thr Ryman League have refused us permission to bring the Heybridge game forward.

Game will now be played on origional date (April 13th oe whatever)

I just dont believe this! I wish people would sort all aspects out before going ahead with something. No wonder this club is on such as mess!<p>It says in the local paper that the game is on. I give up!<p>So, no game on Sat then?<p> <img src="graemlins/icon28.gif" border="0" alt="[icon28]" />

If there was to be any chance of getting a game in then the arrangements had to be made before the League management meeting. The meeting has decided it can't go ahead. From what I'm told the meeting's still going and whilst I don't know any more than about this Saturday, it seems odd they'd just pull this one in isolation? What's the point. Here's hoping they stop there.<p>Unfortunately I can't update during the day at the moment as the machine in my new job can read but add to this board (seems to crash it). If I hear any more tonight, and no-one else in the know can post, I'll let you know.

Thanks for clearing that up HBEE!<p>I can see where the League are coming from on this one. If a precedent was established and clubs started pulling fixtures forward every time they had a free date some clubs' seasons would be finished in March, while others would still be playing in May. Unfortunate for us as we needed this fixture but long term as long as the League allow us to continue playing there is light at the end of the tunnel.<p>Now, where is it to be this weekend, Hitchin? Boreham Wood? Slough possibly...

I can assure you that all at swifst are as pissed of as you lot are. the Ryman league take some beating for admin **** ups. Best of luck to St. Albans for the future, hope you get yourselves sorted out.

This is stunning! When I heard the game was on yesterday, I checked the Ryman League site and sure enough, there was the match listed under this Saturday's fixtures. Now it's off again (how many times is it this week that it has changed?)!<p>I didn't used to see this level of incompentence in the Reading & District League when I ran a club there back in the 1980s!<p>Perhaps the Ryman League would just like to get shot of us!!!!!!
